Meet Our Speaker
Hiram Rester accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at age 11. He was baptized and joined the Baptist Church. At age 16 he was in a serious car accident that propelled him through the windshield. He had cuts that required 147 stitches and plastic surgery. This accident was a real wake-up call for Hiram and it changed the course of his life. He came face to face with mortality and as a teen began to take spiritual things more seriously.
There were three immediate results of the accident. Hiram's dad had to buy a new car. Hiram redidicated his life to Christ and his family began to do a Christ centered study of Bible Prophecy.
For the next three years Hiram studied the Bible intensely. He graduated High School with honors and started college as a chemical engineering major. But he could not quiet the call he felt to ministry. When he attended that Christ centered Bible Prophecy seminar at age 16 he had the distinct impression that God wanted him to share about Jesus the same way. That impression never abated and at age 19, two-thirds of the way through his first year of college Hiram surrendered to his call to ministry.
The study of the Bible became his constant passion. As he turned from his aspirations in engineering to ministry he saw his task to master just 1 book - The Bible - the way he would have needed to master material for engineering. If you attend his seminar you will most likely hear him say at least once, as he holds up the Bible, this book is my life.
Hiram had his first opportunity to do a Bible Prophecy Seminar in 1997. That seminar led to other invitations and within 2.5 years Hiram was traveling full-time holding seminars all over the United States. In the last 22 years Hiram has taken breaks from full-time travel to pastor churches but has continued to do Bible seminars locally and usually travels to do some every year. The summer of 2017 Hiram and his family transitioned from traveling ministry to pastor the Adventist churches in Columbia and Boonville, Missouri. Hiram completed his Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministry through Andrews University. He is now about half way through the Doctor of Ministry program at the same institution.
Hiram is a family man married to the love of his life with three wonderful children. Hiram loves being a husband and father. He tries to stay active with running, camping, and jiu jitsu. He is also an avid catch-and-release fisherman.
